Beyond a Christmas Carol
An outdoor theatrical journey by award-winning playwright Tara Meddaugh, re-imagining the holiday classic through the perspective of the women connected to Ebenezer Scrooge. Audiences followed the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future through five live vignette locations in the heart of Middleburg — joining a tug-of-war with Scrooge's sister, receiving a spirited sales pitch from Mrs. Dilber, and taste-testing Mrs. Cratchit's Christmas pudding. A free, family-friendly, fully outdoor experience running approximately 45 minutes; the world premiere production, directed by Erin Coulter.

10-Minute Musicals
Three ten-minute musicals presented with the Middleburg Arts Council at the Art in the Burg festival, on the stage in front of Old Ox Brewery. Book Lovers — Charlotte is secretly in love with the librarian, and she rejects the idea of romance until three of literature's greatest lovers escape from their books to convince her to take a chance on love (showtimes 10:00am, 12:30pm, 3:00pm). End of the Line — four worker ants set out on a routine mission to retrieve tasty morsels for their colony and end up on the quest of a lifetime (showtimes 11:00am, 1:30pm, 4:00pm). Franklin Pierce: Dragon Slayer — when eighth-grader Jennifer is assigned Franklin Pierce for her class's President's Day project, she's bummed that she's gotten one of history's most forgettable presidents, until late that night Franklin himself visits to tell her the real truth behind his presidency (showtimes 10:30am, 1:00pm, 3:30pm).
